It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of a very special member of our hospital family—Prudence.
Many of you knew Prudence, whether from visits to the hospital or simply through the stories and moments we shared over the years. She was more than a pet to us—she was a constant presence, a quiet comfort, and a reminder of why we do what we do each day. Over the past week, her health took a sudden and serious decline, and we made the difficult but compassionate decision to help her pass peacefully.
Losing Prudence has left a profound impact on our team. She was deeply loved, and her absence is felt in ways both big and small throughout the hospital.
In honor of her life and the compassion she inspired, we are establishing the Prudence Healing Paws Fund. This fund will allow us to continue caring for cats in need—especially strays and surrendered pets—and to support families who may be facing financial challenges but want to provide necessary care for their beloved companions.
Prudence’s legacy will live on through every life this fund helps us touch.
