Lorena is a dedicated Veterinary Technician at the Cat Hospital of Tucson, having joined the team in 2025. With over 13 years of experience in the field, she combines expertise from both emergency and general veterinary practices, including a notable background in handling exotic animals. Lorena is well-versed in adapting to diverse work environments, thanks to her experience in multiple states as part of a military family.

In 2013, she earned her associate’s degree in veterinary technology, paving the way for a rewarding career that echoes her childhood passion for animal care, cultivated on her family’s farm. Lorena’s professional journey is enriched by her dedication and varied experiences, making her an integral part of the Cat Hospital of Tucson team.

Beyond her professional life, Lorena enjoys exploring new destinations and immersing herself in the world of Dungeons and Dragons. A lover of fine wines, she is also the proud owner of two beloved dogs, a Chihuahua named T.S. and a Papillon named Vanellope Van Schwartz.
